Responsibilities
- Lead, guide, and train procurement team members
- Oversee inventory levels and optimize stock management
- Identify and secure suppliers for all goods and services required by the organization
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with buyers to meet evolving operational demands
- Collaborate closely with internal departments including Production, Engineering, and Finance, as well as global suppliers and clients
- Ensure procurement of high-quality materials at the lowest total cost
- Establish pricing structures and negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions
- Manage acquisition of capital equipment and assets
- Oversee budget adherence and control company-wide purchasing activities
- Enforce procurement policies and ensure organizational compliance
- Supervise daily operations of the Purchasing Department
- Identify and evaluate potential domestic and international suppliers
- Establish alternative supply channels when existing vendors fail to meet standards
- Resolve financial discrepancies related to vendor accounts
- Conduct make-or-buy assessments and analyze current inventory levels as required
- Guarantee material availability through inventory forecasting, capacity planning, and lead time oversight
- Qualify suppliers globally and perform on-site audits to address quality, delivery, or design issues
- Evaluate supply chain models such as kanban, consignment, or vendor-managed inventory for potential benefits and deploy where suitable
- Work with internal teams to align procurement strategies with broader business objectives
- Define, monitor, and improve key performance indicators for the purchasing function
- Ensure transparency in procurement activities by generating regular reports and updates
