Responsibilities
- Observe and supervise entryways, exits, and secured zones within the facility.
- Perform routine indoor and outdoor patrols to prevent criminal activity, aggression, or hazardous conduct.
- React promptly to emergency alerts, aiding in crowd management, evacuations, or securing areas when necessary.
- Use conflict resolution methods to defuse tense situations involving patients or guests, often working alongside medical personnel.
- Guide individuals safely through the facility, offer directions, and help resolve lost property concerns.
- Document incidents, accidents, and potential safety risks with thorough written reports and submit them to management or risk teams.
- Manage responses to events involving patients, employees, or guests while upholding organizational rules impartially.
- Partner with the Environment of Care Committee to promote a coordinated, team-based approach to facility safety and security.

- This role operates on a per diem (as-needed) basis.
- Must be prepared to respond to emergency situations, including crowd control, evacuation, or containment procedures.
- May be scheduled for different shifts, including overnight, weekend, and holiday hours.
- Completion of a background screening and possession of state-issued security guard certification are mandatory.
- A valid state driver's license must be obtained at the time of employment.
- A current DMV H6 report or official driving history record is required.
