About the Role
This role involves delivering psychiatric care through remote assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and medication management for patients in need of mental health support.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Document patient encounters in electronic health records
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary
- Support continuity of care across settings
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
- Engage in patient and family education about mental health conditions
- Utilize evidence-based practices in clinical decision-making
- Respond to urgent clinical concerns in a timely manner
- Participate in care coordination with primary and specialty providers
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy standards are upheld
- Adhere to licensing requirements for practice in Oregon
- Stay current with clinical guidelines and best practices
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Address social determinants of health in treatment planning
- Support harm reduction strategies when appropriate
- Promote patient autonomy and shared decision-making
Nice to Have
