Ember is looking for a PSV Mechanic to join the team maintaining our growing fleet of all-electric coaches. This is a roaming role working across sites in Scotland, solving unique challenges with state-of-the-art electric vehicles.
What You'll Do
- Solve immediate challenges to keep coaches on the road.
- Perform planned and preventative maintenance.
- Use technology heavily, including remote diagnostics and custom software systems.
- Work closely with the manufacturer and team to understand root causes and prevent future problems.
- Help identify and resolve issues quickly to achieve low downtime.
What We're Looking For
- Qualifications for PSV/HGV maintenance and repair to NVQ Level 3 or an international equivalent.
- IRTEC accreditation.
- 2+ years of experience at a senior level.
- Familiarity with all aspects of DVSA compliance.
- Experience in MOT preparation and safety/quality checks.
- A full UK driving licence (6 points or less).
Nice to Have
- High-voltage training.
- Experience in using a fleet management system.
- Full Category D PCV licence (training can be provided).

Team & Environment
You will be the fifth qualified mechanic in a team of seven employees dedicated to fleet maintenance. This role is part of a department bringing all aspects of maintenance in-house.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: £42,000 - £50,000 per year
