AECOM is hiring a Project Scheduler

Responsibilities

  • Create comprehensive project timelines and visual Gantt charts using Primavera P6, following standardized Work Breakdown Structures.
  • Define all project tasks, phases, milestones, and outputs across stages including feasibility, design, regulatory approvals, procurement, construction, and operational setup.
  • Work with project leads and stakeholders to set achievable task durations, sequences, and resource estimates.
  • Establish and manage logical relationships, dependencies, time delays, and float values to accurately identify critical paths.
  • Combine individual project schedules into a unified Master Programme Schedule using Primavera P6 for enterprise-level visibility.
  • Update and maintain project timelines monthly to ensure the integrated Master Programme reflects current progress for organization-wide reporting.
  • Review contractor-submitted schedules, evaluate schedule risks, and analyze critical paths during bidding and project execution.
  • Evaluate the effects of project modifications and change requests on timelines, budgets, and risk exposure.
  • Assist in deploying and tracking Earned Value Management systems across multiple projects.
  • Contribute to the preparation of performance reports for project teams and senior management.
  • Build cost-integrated schedules to aid in financial forecasting and cash flow planning.
  • Deliver analytical and administrative support to the project controls function, including data verification and summary reporting.
  • Lead scheduling coordination sessions with consultants, contractors, and internal groups to align planning approaches and delivery plans.
  • Coordinate with pre-construction, design, construction, and capacity planning units to assist in project initiation, budgeting, and timeline development.
  • Engage with technical experts to evaluate how new designs, materials, or construction methods affect project schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with cost and risk teams to improve spending forecasts, identify risks, and plan mitigation strategies.
  • Carry out program control evaluations and generate summary reports and on-demand analyses for leadership review.
  • Promote a collaborative, high-performance environment within the scheduling unit, emphasizing accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and sustain professional, proactive relationships with internal and external partners across project controls and delivery teams.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to scheduling inquiries, ensuring clarity and supporting effective project decisions.
