Responsibilities
- Create and maintain comprehensive project plans for new product releases and major updates, outlining tasks, milestones, schedules, and staffing needs.
- Lead regular project meetings, document discussions and action items, and monitor progress to ensure consistency and quality across all areas.
- Collaborate with departments such as Product, Marketing, Sales, Support, Finance, and Technology to align efforts and support successful go-to-market execution.
- Manage interdependencies between teams, foresee potential delays, and proactively escalate issues to prevent timeline disruptions.
- Take full ownership of release coordination, including setting launch criteria, conducting go/no-go reviews, and capturing post-release feedback.
- Lead process optimization projects from definition through execution, ensuring goals are specific and outcomes can be measured.
- Spot inefficiencies in current workflows, suggest practical and scalable fixes, and promote widespread team adoption.
- Advise on optimal resource use and work with department leads to adjust team capacity or staffing as needed.
- Guide team members toward meeting project goals, offer timely feedback, and enforce responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Maintain accurate and secure project records to preserve the quality and reliability of documentation and data.
- Oversee progress tracking for software teams supporting ecommerce platforms (Drupal and Salesforce), including Jira management, dependency tracking, and issue resolution.
- Convert technical details and engineering progress into clear, non-technical updates for stakeholders without using jargon or vague language.
- Facilitate prioritization discussions with product and engineering leads by using data and business impact analysis rather than assumptions.
- Understand software development cycles well enough to detect risks early, ask relevant questions, and help engineering teams overcome obstacles.
- Leverage AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to generate status reports, risk logs, and meeting summaries to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Deliver clear project updates, risks, and decisions to stakeholders at all levels with professionalism and confidence.
- Recognize and resolve project challenges, applying fair judgment when balancing competing demands.
- Make strategic, business-aligned decisions when choosing among different project paths.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage effectively with individuals at every organizational level.
- Apply recognized project management frameworks such as PMBOK to maintain structure while staying adaptable to shifting project conditions and team needs.
