What You'll Do
Guide the full lifecycle of product development for medical devices, dietary supplements, cosmetics, and over-the-counter or approved drug products. Lead teams spanning R&D, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, and product management to deliver projects on time and within scope. Apply agile project management principles to manage iterative development cycles and adapt to evolving priorities.
Define project objectives, develop detailed plans, and track progress against timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Translate high-level goals into actionable tasks and maintain alignment across departments. Proactively identify risks related to scope changes, regulatory requirements, or resource constraints, and create mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track.
Support regulatory submissions by compiling technical documentation and data summaries. Represent the organization on external technical standards committees and contribute to the creation of new testing protocols. Drive continuous improvement in development processes and maintain clear, consistent communication to keep teams engaged and informed.
Requirements
Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related discipline. Bring at least two years of experience in medical device or pharmaceutical development. Demonstrate understanding of medical device classifications (Class I-II), design controls, risk management practices, and the 510(k) clearance process. Familiarity with agile project management frameworks is essential. Some travel—up to 10% annually—may be required for business-related activities, including international assignments.
