Your Opportunity AECOM is seeking a results-driven Design-Build Project Manager to join our Buildings + Places team in Burnaby, BC. In this role, you will lead the delivery of complex, high-profile projects using Design-Build and alternative delivery models, including Progressive Design-Build, Alliance, and IPD. You will be embedded within high-performing, multidisciplinary teams and act as the single point of accountability for project delivery, integrating design and construction to achieve exceptional outcomes. This position is for a newly created position. You will play a critical leadership role, shaping project execution strategies, driving commercial performance, and building strong client relationships—while delivering impactful infrastructure and building projects across Metro Vancouver and beyond. Why AECOM? • Shape Communities: Deliver landmark projects that define the future of Metro Vancouver and beyond • Lead with Impact: Take ownership of complex Design-Build projects and drive meaningful outcomes • Accelerate Your Career: Access structured leadership development, mentorship, and advancement opportunities • Work with Industry Leaders: Collaborate with top-tier architects, engineers, and project leaders • Flexible & Supportive Environment: Competitive compensation, hybrid work model, and comprehensive benefits • Global Impact: Be part of a world-class team delivering complex infrastructure solutions at scale What You Will Do You will lead the full project lifecycle with a strong focus on integration, execution, and performance: Project Leadership & Delivery • Lead Design-Build and alternative delivery projects from early strategy through construction and close-out • Act as the single point of accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety outcomes • Drive project execution strategies that integrate design, construction, and stakeholder requirements Design-Build Integration & Coordination • Coordinate closely with contractors, joint venture partners, consultants, and internal teams to ensure constructability and alignment • Lead multidisciplinary teams across architecture, engineering, and project controls • Ensure seamless integration between design development and construction execution Project Controls & Commercial Performance • Manage project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting (EAC), fee management, and margin optimization • Oversee change management, contract administration, and commercial risk management • Monitor progress against key milestones and implement corrective actions as required Risk, Quality & Safety • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks (technical, commercial, and delivery) • Ensure compliance with AECOM’s quality management systems and safe work practices • Lead project reviews and ensure audit-defensible documentation Client & Stakeholder Management • Serve as the primary client interface, building trusted relationships and ensuring delivery excellence • Lead coordination with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), permitting bodies, and regulatory stakeholders across BC • Facilitate effective communication across all project stakeholders Business Development & Growth • Support capture strategies, proposals, and client engagement activities • Contribute to strengthening AECOM’s Design-Build presence in Western Canada • Identify opportunities for repeat work and client expansion
