About the Role
The position involves managing civil engineering aspects of land development projects, including design oversight, client interaction, regulatory coordination, and team leadership to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead civil design teams on land development projects from concept through construction
- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule for multiple assignments
- Coordinate with clients to understand project goals and deliverables
- Oversee preparation of site plans, grading designs, and drainage analyses
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Review engineering calculations and technical drawings for accuracy
- Liaise with public agencies during permitting and approval processes
- Supervise the development of stormwater management and utility plans
- Guide junior engineers and technical staff in design and documentation
- Prepare and present project updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Maintain quality control across all project phases
- Support business development through client engagement
- Assist in proposal writing and project scoping
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices
- Facilitate coordination between survey, environmental, and transportation teams
- Track project progress and adjust timelines as needed
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities
- Resolve design issues during construction implementation
- Promote efficient use of engineering software and tools
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
- Support sustainable design principles in site development
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors as required
- Ensure projects meet safety and accessibility standards

Nice to Have
