Responsibilities
- Adheres to the established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for Medicaid IT initiatives.
- Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation across all project phases.
- Leads the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of small to large-scale projects.
- Manages project activities from start to finish using formal project management methodologies.
- Develops detailed work plans to guide project execution.
- Monitors project scope and schedule to ensure on-time delivery of milestones and deliverables.
- Oversees the creation and implementation of project communication strategies.
- Produces regular status reports and communicates updates to stakeholders, sponsors, and leadership.
- Identifies potential project risks and emerging issues early in the process.
- Resolves challenges by implementing risk mitigation strategies and solutions.
- Builds and leads a collaborative, high-performing project team using available resources.
- Collaborates with Change Management and Release Management teams to coordinate system implementations for South Carolina's Medicaid system.
- May be required to work beyond 40 hours per week, including weekends, based on project demands.
