Responsibilities
- Review the Shop Order file and verify the scope of supply according to customer requirements and sales quotation details.
- Confirm equipment design and selection, and conduct or coordinate necessary calculations and sketches to finalize design specifications.
- Coordinate drafting activities for the project.
- Ensure completion of all required technical drawings.
- Evaluate customer-marked prints and direct drafting staff on necessary revisions or actions.
- Collaborate with Sales and cost specialists to define and monitor project cost budgets.
- Maintain project delivery schedules based on customer deadlines and internal capacity, coordinating drafting, procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
- Pre-order materials as needed to meet project delivery timelines.
- Communicate customer-specific requirements to the Quality Control team.
- Manage all technical and commercial communications related to the project, including internal teams, customers, end users, sales representatives, and external consultants.
- Direct drafting and support personnel on when and which drawings to distribute to project stakeholders.
- Inform Sales and Estimating teams of any changes in scope or design that impact pricing.
- Coordinate with customers on pricing adjustments, providing written recommendations and resolving financial terms.
- Notify the Order Entry team of updates to the Shop Order documentation and ensure accurate revisions are made.
- Inform the Accounting department when invoices should be issued.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- May assist with quotation preparation and sales-related engineering support.
- May participate in field visits or sales trips as required.
- May contribute to design engineering tasks as needed.
