Societe Generale is seeking a Programmer Analyst to join the GBTO EQD CNT (Connectivity) group within our Corporate and Investment Banking division. In this hands-on role, you will expand our fully automated trading franchise across asset classes by designing and implementing low-latency systems. You'll own the full development cycle, from requirements to deployment and support, collaborating with a team of highly technical engineers.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and implement market connectivity systems.
- Work alongside algorithm developers and traders to communicate and address varying needs.
- Ensure order management aligns with best execution practices.
- Continuously collaborate with colleagues and business leaders to advance collective skills.
What We're Looking For
- Current experience with C/C++, including familiarity with C++20 and templates.
- Proven skills in low latency coding, performance tuning, and debugging.
- Experience with FIX and Binary Connectivity Protocols.
- Proficiency in network protocols such as TCP and multicast.
- Hands-on experience with Market Data feed handlers, Client and Market Connectivity products.
- Knowledge of investment management operations and trading execution solutions.
- Experience developing on Linux.
- Python scripting experience (or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills are a must.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree in Mathematics or Computer Science (MSc/PhD).
- Team player capable of developing industrial-strength software components.
- Good experience analyzing and structuring large data sets.
- Knowledge of trading and market microstructure.
- FPGA experience as a plus for low-level socket understanding.
