Responsibilities
- Help program teams prepare budgets for new grant proposals, contract extensions, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Manage the creation of project codes for newly awarded grants and contracts to ensure precise tracking of time, expenses, and revenue.
- Deliver recurring financial reports to Program Directors at multiple levels including grant, program, department, and sub-department.
- Track financial performance and collaborate with program leadership to detect budget variances, spending patterns, and required modifications.
- Support the forecasting, oversight, and evaluation of labor expenditures tied to grants and contracts.
- Assist with financial components during funder site visits, audits, and compliance assessments.
- Foster strong collaboration with funders, program teams, and finance staff to enable prompt resolution of financial issues.
- Contribute to the creation of consistent monthly financial reporting materials for designated programs.
- Engage in improving financial processes, documenting procedures, and completing special assignments as necessary.
- Generate and submit scheduled invoices for grants and contracts, including all required supporting records.
- Examine invoice documentation for correctness, completeness, and adherence to funder guidelines.
- Work with program and accounting personnel to clarify discrepancies in expenses, records, coding, or billing.
- Follow up with funding agencies to ensure payments are processed promptly.
- Participate in the planning and execution of organization-wide programs, events, and community outreach activities.
- Engage in staff meetings, retreats, and team-building events across the agency.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as directed.
Compensation
The salary is commensurate with experience, ranging from $84,000 to $94,000 per year.
