Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all surveying and mapping projects within your market area, ensuring adherence to schedules and requirements.
- Work with client representatives and project stakeholders to clarify project goals, scope, and deliverables.
- Create and review project proposals, cost estimates, and work plans for client approval.
- Guarantee quality assurance throughout the entire project execution process.
- Lead a team of surveyors and mappers by offering guidance, training, and support.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team performance to achieve project objectives.
- Promote a collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, knowledge sharing, and professional development.
- Coordinate with other departments and subcontractors to ensure smooth project progression.
- Use advanced surveying equipment, software, and methods to perform accurate field surveys and measurements.
- Conduct surveys for highway alignments, right-of-way boundaries, control points, and topographic features.
- Prepare and review survey plats, legal descriptions, right-of-way maps, and other related documents.
- Ensure proper geodetic control and coordinate systems are established and maintained for all projects.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain accuracy.
- Regularly review survey data, measurements, and mapping information to identify and correct discrepancies or errors.
- Perform quality audits on completed surveys.
- Serve as the primary contact for client representatives and stakeholders on surveying and mapping issues.
- Communicate project progress, issues, and findings clearly and concisely to clients and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with all clients and stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Seek opportunities for additional projects and collaborate with business development teams to secure new contracts.
