Responsibilities
- Direct production and processing operations to meet established quality control standards, production schedules, and cost objectives.
- Provide accurate data regarding product types, quantities, specifications, and delivery timelines.
- Establish short-term operational plans that support production continuity, including shift schedules, material requisitions, machine loading, equipment maintenance, and grievance resolution.
- Coordinate and integrate with other plant functions to ensure alignment in achieving output, productivity, and quality goals.
- Select, organize, train, and motivate the production workforce to achieve consistent performance at optimal productivity and cost levels.
- Recommend improvements to processing flow, methods, and operational practices.
- Ensure effective use of operating procedures designed to eliminate production issues and enhance product quality.
- Recommend modifications to machinery and equipment to improve processing efficiency and product quality.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Serve as a key liaison between USDA personnel and plant operations.
- Coordinate production activities between the plant, grow-out operations, and other production facilities as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- College Degree in related field required
- Must have previous management experience in a food or poultry processing facility
- At least one year of directly related experience
- Directly related work experience may be used as a year-for-year substitute for the educational requirement
- Effective communication both orally and in writing
- Capable of independent decision making
- Must have basic computer knowledge
- Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in MS Office software applications

- Schedule: Monday – Friday; some weekends
- The company conducts drug, alcohol, and background checks for all new team members post-offer and prior to the start of employment
- Verification of employment eligibility must be documented for all new employees by the end of the third day of work
