Responsibilities
- Operates drilling machinery following established safety and operational guidelines
- Interprets layout plans or schematics to determine correct drill positioning
- Measures drilled holes and verifies alignment with required pattern specifications
- Uses various drilling rigs to create blast holes at designated locations and depths
- Performs routine pre-operation safety inspections of equipment
- Observes equipment performance and reports malfunctions or maintenance needs per mine protocols
