Innovatrics is hiring a Product Security Engineer to fundamentally shape how secure software is built and delivered. This is a high-impact role focused on embedding security into our engineering culture, architecture, and deployment models for both SaaS and on-prem biometric solutions.
What You'll Do
- Explore our biometric products, system architecture, and current secure development practices.
- Identify gaps in product and deployment security and define a pragmatic roadmap for improvement.
- Define and evolve the overall solution security strategy.
- Embed secure SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) practices across all engineering teams.
- Introduce structured threat modeling and security design reviews.
- Strengthen security for Kubernetes, cloud, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish vulnerability management and secure release processes.
- Act as the security authority for software and deployment risks, with the mandate to block releases for critical issues.
- Act as a whitehat hacker to test systems, such as attempting to bypass injection attack detection.
- Collaborate with the IT Operations team on ISO 27001 implementation within engineering.
- Mature product security into a measurable engineering discipline.
- Improve hardening baselines for both SaaS and on-prem installations.
- Establish DevSecOps practices integrated into CI/CD.
- Increase visibility of product security risks for leadership.
- Prepare the engineering scope for surveillance and recertification audits.
- Potentially grow a focused product security capability.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to work hybrid or remote within the EU time zone, with regular visits to company headquarters.
- Must be based in Slovakia, Brno, or elsewhere in the EU.
- Must have regular working hour overlaps within the CET time zone for collaboration.
