About the Role

The role involves advancing product security by designing and evaluating cryptographic solutions and PKI systems, ensuring secure integration across platforms and development lifecycles.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cryptographic protocols for secure product features
  • Evaluate existing cryptographic implementations for vulnerabilities and compliance
  • Support secure key management and certificate lifecycle operations
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices
  • Conduct security reviews focused on encryption, authentication, and data protection
  • Develop standards and tooling for consistent cryptographic usage
  • Assist in threat modeling for systems relying on cryptographic controls
  • Monitor industry developments in cryptography and PKI standards
  • Respond to security incidents involving cryptographic failures
  • Guide teams on proper use of cryptographic libraries and APIs
  • Ensure compliance with security certifications and regulatory requirements
  • Document security designs and cryptographic architecture decisions
  • Perform code reviews with a focus on cryptographic correctness
  • Assist in audits related to encryption and key management
  • Promote secure development practices across engineering teams
  • Work with third-party vendors on cryptographic integration
  • Contribute to incident response plans involving PKI disruptions

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or C|CSP
  • Direct experience building or maintaining internal PKI systems
  • In-depth knowledge of cryptographic algorithm implementation pitfalls
  • Prior work in regulated industries such as finance or healthcare
  • Contributions to open-source security or cryptography projects
  • Experience with formal verification of cryptographic protocols
