Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the product strategy for software supporting datacenter operations, covering building management system integrations, configuration databases, asset lifecycle tracking, and work order systems
- Specify functional and technical requirements for field technician tools, including mobile inspection applications, augmented reality-guided repairs, incident prioritization workflows, and live alerting infrastructure
- Collaborate with facilities personnel to develop workforce management solutions for scheduling and forecasting technician demand across geographically distributed datacenters
- Partner with operational teams to design automated monitoring and self-correcting systems for core infrastructure including climate control, power distribution, fire safety, and access controls
- Lead initiatives to integrate building management systems and datacenter infrastructure management platforms for unified facility oversight
- Establish performance indicators and visualization tools to track key metrics such as power efficiency, service uptime, mean time to repair, and equipment durability
- Conduct interviews and observational studies with on-site technicians, facility supervisors, and operations leads to identify inefficiencies in maintenance routines and daily tasks
- Develop specifications for predictive maintenance capabilities that leverage sensor data to forecast hardware failures and prevent service disruptions
- Evaluate existing solutions from competing colocation providers and large-scale cloud operators to inform product differentiation and feature prioritization
