Responsibilities
- Full lifecycle ownership of an assigned defense product portfolio
- Performance monitoring and initiation of targeted improvement measures across the product lifecycle
- Definition of product requirements and specifications based on customer input, R&D direction, and market intelligence
- Direct customer interface and systematic consolidation of market and customer insights
- Ownership of pricing decisions, profitability targets, cost control, and optimization initiatives
- Driving new product launches in close coordination with Project Management and Marketing functions
- Development of differentiated value propositions aligned to innovation roadmap and competitive dynamics
- Alignment of regional product strategies and portfolio coverage across key markets
- Cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Technical Sales, and senior stakeholders on product direction
- Active contribution to the development and continuous improvement of product configuration tools
Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering or a comparable technical discipline
- 5+ years in a product management or engineering role, ideally within combustion engine or powertrain environments
- Solid understanding of powertrain systems and their application in industrial or defense contexts
- Hands-on experience with product lifecycle management processes
- Commercial acumen: pricing logic, margin management, profitability levers
- Proven ability to operate in matrix organizations with multiple stakeholders
- Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g. MS Project or equivalent)
- Fluent German and English (C1)
- Strong commercial mindset combined with structured, direct communication style
- Resilient, assertive personality, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and external partners

- Exposure to defense or regulated industrial markets is an advantage
- French at working level (B2) an asset
