Responsibilities
- Serve as a central liaison connecting suppliers, sales teams, and market demands within the Product Management structure.
- Support the advancement of performance and specialty chemicals used in coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers.
- Manage customer inquiries and assist sales colleagues in delivering competitive proposals.
- Establish pricing strategies and contribute to sales goal attainment via forward-looking commercial planning.
- Develop and sustain strategic partnerships with global manufacturing suppliers.
- Negotiate procurement terms and ensure consistent product availability.
- Conduct direct sales engagements with key accounts as needed.
- Share team accountability for profit and loss outcomes, emphasizing sustainable profitability.
- Track and analyze fluctuations in petrochemical markets.
- Collect and assess market data from diverse channels to inform decision-making.
- Produce detailed market summaries for supplier stakeholders.
- Equip sales teams with current market insights to enhance customer interactions.
- Participate in periodic visits to suppliers and major customers.
Requirements
- Experience working in sectors such as coatings, construction chemicals, adhesives, elastomers, or related fields.
- In-depth knowledge of chemical product categories including amines, epoxy resins, reactive diluents, curing agents, UV monomers, cellulose ethers, and catalysts.
- Educational background in a commercial or technical discipline, preferably chemistry or related field.
- Minimum of five years of B2B sales experience, ideally within specialty chemicals or chemical distribution.
- Strong commercial acumen combined with analytical capabilities.
- Proficiency in pricing strategies, cost modeling, and margin optimization.
- Excellent communication skills and a business-focused approach.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with suppliers and clients.
- Skill in collecting, interpreting, and converting market data into strategic actions.
- Competence in using CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Comfort with interpreting financial figures and statistical data.
- Collaborative team member with initiative and a drive for results.
- Practical, hands-on attitude with readiness to assume responsibility.
- Fluent business English communication skills
