Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is looking for a Product Development Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will conduct investigations to identify the root causes of device faults and contribute to the development of effective solutions. This position is central to a worldwide device repair project and involves designing and fabricating new components using our fully equipped on-site machine shop.
What You'll Do
- Conduct investigations to identify root causes of device faults and contribute to the development of solutions.
- Conduct fair and accurate engineering tests, analyze data, and create experimental protocols.
- Participate in a worldwide device repair project, applying engineering and communication skills.
- Design and fabricate new components using the fully equipped on-site machine shop.
- Conduct design review meetings and other necessary project communications.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Strong mechanical reasoning skills and broad general scientific knowledge.
- Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with others.
- Adept at troubleshooting and asking insightful questions.
- Demonstrated mental agility, adapting thinking to suit dynamic situations and challenges.
