Responsibilities
- Lead design for core desktop application features including the user interface, onboarding sequences, and premium access flows, focusing on seamless integration and performance.
- Translate intricate product strategies into polished, user-centered experiences that function efficiently alongside demanding PC applications.
- Analyze usage data from analytics platforms, engage directly with users, and collaborate with product managers to deeply understand challenges before initiating design work.
- Own the design and evolution of the company's web presence and growth-focused marketing funnels, treating them as critical user entry points.
- Leverage large language models to explore problem domains, analyze metrics, uncover edge cases, and validate assumptions early in the design process.
- Select appropriate tools based on the task—rapidly prototype interactive experiences using AI coding environments or produce detailed visual designs in Figma for comprehensive state modeling.
- Create cohesive features that function across multiple platforms including desktop, web, and in-app overlays.
- Collaborate with senior design leadership to refine and apply a unified design system that ensures new features feel consistent with the overall product ecosystem.
- Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, challenge unclear requirements, and prioritize user experience in decision-making.
- Anticipate emerging issues and begin addressing them before they are formally recognized by the team.
Responsibilities (10)
- Champion the Core Product (70%): Immerse yourself in our native desktop UI, onboarding flows, and Pro/paywall experiences.
- Champion the Core Product (70%): Take total ownership of translating complex product strategies into seamless, pixel-perfect player journeys that respect the technical and performance constraints of running alongside heavy PC games.
- Champion the Core Product (70%): Pulling data from Amplitude and our dashboards, talking directly to players, collaborating with PMs (or doing the digging yourself), and forming a strong, informed opinion about the problem before you touch a design tool.
- Drive Web & Growth (30%): Take ownership of our web presence and marketing pipelines, treating our site as a tier-one product experience that drives user acquisition and brand love.
- Think with AI, Build with the Right Tool: Use LLMs to deeply understand the problem space - interrogate metrics, surface edge cases, draft problem frames, stress-test assumptions.
- Think with AI, Build with the Right Tool: Choose the medium that fits the question — build scrappy, end-to-end interactive prototypes in Claude Code or Cursor when needed, or use Figma for high-fidelity visual craft and full state coverage.
- Apply & Evolve the Ecosystem: Design features that span our multi-surface ecosystem (Desktop, Web, Overlay).
- Apply & Evolve the Ecosystem: Work closely with the Lead Product Designer to apply, stress-test, and help evolve our core design language to ensure every new feature feels natively integrated into the broader platform.
- Shape the Scope - Don't Wait for It: Actively partner with cross-functional teams to define feature scopes, comfortably push back on ambiguity, and serve as a fierce advocate for the player's experience.
- Shape the Scope - Don't Wait for It: If you see a problem forming on the horizon, you're already working on it.
