Thoughtworks is hiring a Product Designer to lead the creation of high-fidelity digital products and branding. You will work as part of multi-disciplinary teams to understand complex problems and deliver high-quality working software, leveraging Lean and Design Thinking methodologies.
What You'll Do
- Play an active role in delivering technology projects that transform client operations and develop new digital products, focusing on visual excellence.
- Collaborate with small, cross-functional teams to create experience design deliverables including journey maps, service blueprints, prototypes, and design systems.
- Facilitate workshops, develop unique design strategies, and contribute to strategic decisions at the portfolio level.
- Apply research methods such as context analysis, moderated interviews, experiments, and usability testing.
- Set up inspiring design hypotheses for delivery teams using Figma and Prompt Engineering.
- Ensure project scope, risks, and updates are regularly assessed and communicated through close dialogue with developers.
- Balance client and internal expectations by clearly communicating experience design deliverables like typography, branding, and iconography.
- Extend expertise to teammates by supporting less-experienced designers in visual communication and design principles.
- Advocate for experience design expertise to the broader community by speaking at conferences, webinars, and meetups.
What We're Looking For
- Well-versed in experience design with specialties in at least three additional areas such as visual interface design, branding, design systems, native mobile design, or typography.
- Proficient in creating high-fidelity prototypes and responsive layouts using Figma for Web and Mobile platforms.
- Embrace Lean principles to iterate rapidly on visual solutions, minimizing waste.
- Apply Design Thinking methodologies to uncover user needs and define visual strategies.
- Experienced storyteller able to clearly present research methods and findings to stakeholders.
- Comfortable leading and advising research activities using methods like usability testing, user research, and data visualization.
- Expertise in Figma for creating scalable digital products and complex component libraries.
- Demonstrate knowledge in Prompt Engineering to optimize creative and generative design workflows.
- Ability to dialog with developers to ensure technical feasibility and high-fidelity implementation of visual assets.
- Apply accessibility principles (WCAG) to ensure all visual communications and products are inclusive.
- Possess advanced Spanish and at least Upper-Intermediate English skills for global projects.
- Bring an inspiring, unique approach to product design and enjoy facilitating client brainstorms and internal sessions.
- Happy to design solo or collaborate with designers and developers to create a wide range of experience design deliverables.
- Understand stakeholder management and can easily liaise between clients and other key stakeholders, ensuring buy-in and trust.
- A knack for communicating and defining project roles to design teammates with the ability to build confidence in others.
- A passion for contributing to the growing experience design community through peer reviews and ensuring design quality consistency.
