Zicasso is seeking a Product Designer to lead design efforts for our innovative travel applications, shaping user experience and driving product strategy. This is an international, fully-remote freelance contractor position for candidates based outside the United States, with a particular interest in talent from Latin America.
What You'll Do
- Participate in product strategy discussions, contributing to the overall vision and roadmap.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering managers in leading a Product Squad to define and implement solutions for B2C/B2B web apps and internal platform.
- Contribute to implementing Product Design best practices to increase product culture maturity.
- Conduct user research to gather insights, identify user needs, and inform design decisions.
- Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas.
- Create detailed handoff documentation with design files, component specs, and interaction behaviors.
- Iterate and refine designs based on feedback, user testing, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure a consistent and cohesive visual language across all applications, adhering to design systems.
- Advocate for a user-centered design approach and promote design best practices within the team.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in product design with a proven track record of leading design initiatives.
- Proven proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar.
- Demonstrated expertise in UI design, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with ability to influence stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Deep understanding of agile development methodologies.
- Strong understanding and experience with product strategy, metrics and OKRs.
- Experience leading design reviews and mentoring other designers.
- Experience in fast paced growing environments, either in start ups or nimble structures.
- Experience defining and implementing design best practices.
Nice to Have
- Extensive experience in the travel industry, and/or luxury products and services.
- Experience in web design and diverse user research techniques.
- A strong passion for travel and creating exceptional user experiences.
