AECOM is hiring a Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Applies expertise in procurement processes, market analysis, and business practices to ensure on-time delivery of products and services.
  • Employs innovative, cost-effective, and time-saving methods in procurement decision-making.
  • Develops contract strategies tailored to project needs, selecting appropriate contract types and customizing terms and conditions.
  • Conducts cost and price evaluations to support fair and reasonable pricing in negotiations and documentation.
  • Maintains ongoing coordination with contractors throughout contract lifecycles, including design, supply, construction, IT, utilities, and services, to clarify obligations and resolve issues under managerial guidance.
  • Collaborates with legal, finance, and other departments to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Executes contract management protocols and identifies opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Monitors contract performance to verify fulfillment of obligations and maintains comprehensive records of all contract-related documents and communications.
  • Provides training and advisory support on contract matters to team members and internal staff.
  • Works with cross-functional stakeholders to align contracts with organizational goals and risk management frameworks.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and internal CAHSR policies.
  • Under supervision, coordinates stakeholder reviews of custom contract drafts involving legal, risk management, insurance, audit, environmental, and safety teams to minimize exposure.
  • Under supervision, evaluates, revises, and negotiates contract terms to reduce organizational risk.
  • Prepares, updates, and reviews procurement records, pricing data, and purchase orders; distributes orders to vendors and requesting departments.
  • Maintains awareness of safety protocols in daily operations.
  • Responds promptly to inquiries from customers and suppliers regarding order status, modifications, or cancellations in support of CAHSR requirements.
  • Under supervision, evaluates vendor pricing, specifications, and delivery timelines to determine optimal procurement approaches and prepares PreAward/PreSolicitation materials.
  • Monitors and updates the status of purchase requisitions, contracts, and orders.
  • Supports overall organizational objectives by completing additional tasks as assigned.
