Responsibilities
- Implements the project's procurement and supply chain strategy in collaboration with the Project Director and other internal project stakeholders.
- Takes ownership of their contribution to project or plant procurement performance and key performance indicators, applying all standard levers available through the company while meeting project quality and schedule targets.
- Identifies and evaluates supply chain-related risks and opportunities, as well as risk mitigation options, contributing to the project risk and opportunity matrix and being accountable for actions, progress, and updates.
- Contributes to setting the procurement, expediting, and logistics budget for their project.
- Drafts, negotiates, and finalizes subcontracts in accordance with company policies and templates.
- Manages subcontracts end-to-end during the procurement phase and oversees suppliers to serve the best interests of the project and the company, ensuring application of supplier relationship management.
- Supervises the on-site procurement team, including buyers, procurement officers, and expeditors.
- Negotiates and finalizes purchases of critical and strategic goods and services according to set objectives, and supports buyer negotiations when needed.
- Ensures framework agreements comply with company policies and remain within company limits.
- Reports on project activity and key performance indicators on a monthly basis to relevant management teams.
- Collaborates and cooperates with key internal stakeholders.
- Ensures procedures, rules, and local standards are applied, adhering to all corporate policies on health and safety, environment, ethics, and complying with internal reporting rules.
- Coaches and empowers their team.
- May be required to perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by management.
- Adheres to all Integrated Management System and compliance policies and procedures throughout daily operations.
- Has stop work authority to immediately halt any work activity that poses unacceptable safety, environmental, or asset risks without fear of retaliation.
- Supports the procurement process by sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers for engineering materials, equipment, and services.
- Ensures timely and cost-effective purchasing while meeting quality, technical, and project specifications.
- Collaborates with project, engineering, and operations teams to align procurement with technical requirements and schedules.
- Negotiates with vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery conditions.
- Monitors supplier performance and compliance with contracts, safety, and quality standards.
- Prepares and maintains accurate procurement documentation, reports, and records in line with company and UAE regulations.
- Contributes to cost optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives in the supply chain.
- Provides technical input during procurement to ensure materials and services meet engineering and project standards.
- Supports risk management by identifying potential supply chain issues and recommending solutions.

- Language requirements: Fluency in written and spoken English required; Arabic, Hindi, or French is a plus.
