Responsibilities
- Partner with senior scientists and engineers to extract individual experiment data from outputs of lab equipment, test rigs, and pilot plants
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of both isolated experiments and continuous time-series data
- Organize and archive experimental data in a structured, accessible format for future analysis and review
- Clean, transform, and analyze data using statistical methods to detect patterns, trends, and outliers
- Utilize statistical software such as JMP to uncover process trends and detect anomalies that may signal operational problems
- Develop clear, informative visualizations to support interpretation of data by technical stakeholders
- Summarize and communicate analytical findings effectively to technical leadership, highlighting opportunities for process optimization
- Support the design and execution of experiments to efficiently generate high-quality datasets
- Collaborate with analytical and operations teams to conduct statistical evaluations, assess variability, and confirm repeatability
- Assist in establishing systems that promote consistent and reliable data collection and performance
- Enable teams to extract meaningful insights from structured datasets, including batch experiments and spectroscopic results
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Data Science, or related field with demonstrated analytical expertise
- Proven ability to analyze large and complex datasets with attention to detail
- Proficient in data analysis platforms such as JMP or Minitab
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills applied to technical challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical findings to diverse audiences
- Highly organized with a focus on precision and maintaining thorough documentation
Nice to Have
- Direct experience in laboratory or R&D environments using analytical or automated testing instruments
- Background working in fast-moving startup or innovation-driven organizations
- Familiarity with AVEVA PI System for data acquisition and management
- Experience automating routine data processing and management workflows
- Programming experience with languages such as R or Python
