Responsibilities
- Handle incoming legal inquiries by managing team communications, logging cases, assigning responsibilities, and tracking resolution.
- Keep updated records such as privacy trackers, action logs, templates, internal documentation, and guidance materials to ensure team efficiency.
- Supervise the management of legal documents and agreements, including version tracking, electronic signatures, filing systems, and workflow coordination.
- Work with internal departments to collect necessary information for privacy assessments and legal recommendations.
- Develop internal communications, training content, and practical guidance to support organizational understanding of privacy requirements.
- Perform preliminary evaluations of privacy requests and refer complex issues to senior staff as needed.
- Analyze contracts and data protection clauses, including data processing terms, confidentiality obligations, and cross-border data transfer provisions.
- Assist in preparing privacy impact assessments, legitimate interest evaluations, processing records, and other compliance documentation.
- Review privacy notices, data retention policies, and related materials for legal accuracy and clarity.
- Support incident response procedures by collecting relevant facts and documentation for privacy incidents and potential data breaches.
- Conduct research on data protection laws and regulatory developments across applicable regions.
- Partner with Legal, Information Security, Human Resources, Procurement, Commercial, and other departments to implement cohesive privacy strategies.
- Convert legal advice into actionable steps for business teams to implement effectively.
- Support privacy matters involving employees and clients, including gathering information and preparing necessary documentation.
- Help maintain structured and efficient processes for privacy governance and team operations.
- Take responsibility for handling data subject access requests from initial receipt through final response.
- Manage stakeholder coordination for data subject requests, including collecting documents, organizing reviews, and meeting response deadlines.
- Lead resolution of low-risk privacy issues under appropriate supervision.
- Deliver direct legal support on privacy concerns arising in commercial agreements, human resources, and day-to-day operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the effectiveness of privacy operations.
