About the Role

The role involves leading water quality studies, designing and applying numerical models, and providing technical direction for environmental projects related to water systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of water quality monitoring programs
  • Develop and calibrate hydrodynamic and water quality models
  • Analyze environmental data to assess ecosystem health
  • Support environmental impact assessments with scientific analysis
  • Prepare technical reports for regulatory submissions
  • Guide project teams on water quality compliance standards
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists on integrated solutions
  • Present findings to clients and regulatory agencies

  • Conduct field data collection and oversee sampling protocols

  • Support permitting processes with technical documentation

  • Mentor junior staff in water quality science and modelling
  • Stay current with advancements in water quality research
  • Apply statistical methods to interpret water quality trends
  • Integrate climate change considerations into water models
  • Work with geographic information systems for spatial analysis
  • Assist in proposal development for new projects
  • Coordinate with stakeholders during project planning phases
