Responsibilities
- Work autonomously and with supervision, taking initiative to gather requirements, design, and implement CI/CD in close collaboration with technical teams and customers.
- Operate in both agile and traditional project environments, supporting multiple projects and teams at once.
- Apply best practices for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) in software delivery.
- Collaborate with the infrastructure team to set up environments, automate processes, and streamline infrastructure scaling using infrastructure as code (IAC).
- Develop and enhance monitoring and alerting systems.
- Automate security tasks including code scanning, package scanning, and vulnerability scanning.
- Assist in creating automated tests, deployment tests, code versioning, and GitHub Actions.
- Define and establish development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations in consultation with other technology teams.
- Pursue continuous improvement and build pipelines for continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment.
- Architect, design, and deploy AWS resources, including provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Effectively manage and leverage Docker and Kubernetes container platforms.
- Work with various engineering teams to outline DevOps execution strategies for different projects.
- Drive automation across the organization using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, configuration management, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
- Assist with organization-wide security considerations.
- Identify optimal ways to detect security risks and incidents, suggest improvements, and create automation to detect and mitigate those risks.
- Own the company's CI/CD technology stack.
- Execute roadmap items in collaboration with subject matter expert teams (e.g., infrastructure, application, QA, governance) and system owners.
- Research and recommend new technologies, solutions, protocols, and standards to support the adoption and upgrade of the enterprise CI/CD platform.
- Own the company's service hosting decision tree by developing factors that influence on-premises, hybrid, or cloud decisions.

- Interact cordially and professionally with customers, vendors, superiors, and peers.
- Maintain regular attendance on a full-time schedule, including 7x24 system support as required.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technology field.
- 18–20 years of overall related technology experience.
- 8–10 years of experience in heavy infrastructure, DevOps, or CI/CD in large transformation organizations.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira or Confluence.
- Knowledge of web application development.
- Deep experience with Docker, Apache Camel, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Python, and scripting languages.
- Experience working within Agile development teams.
- Knowledge or expertise in cloud platforms, Linux operating systems, networking, and databases.
- Deep experience with DevOps management tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle, Helm, Sonatype) for repository, packaging, unit testing, code scanning, and package scanning.
- Prior exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Ability to work on demand to provide 7x24 mission-critical support.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with strong ability to collaborate across all organizational levels and with vendors and external partners.
