Responsibilities
- Design and implement systems for new initiatives with strong emphasis on scalability, maintainability, and long-term viability
- Evaluate current systems and infrastructure to find and act on opportunities for architectural optimization, efficiency gains, and performance improvements
- Identify common patterns that contribute to system incidents or operational overhead and create strategies to resolve and prevent them
- Lead ongoing efforts to enhance system reliability, scalability, and performance across services
- Improve engineering standards across the board, including code design, testing practices, deployment processes, and incident response
- Lead in-depth architectural reviews and provide technical mentorship to senior engineers across multiple service teams
- Help shape and sustain a high-performing, growth-focused engineering culture within the Retail division
- Collaborate across teams to support broader organizational goals, even when tasks fall outside core responsibilities
