Responsibilities
- Lead improvements to the frontend development workflow, ensuring local development, builds, and testing are fast, stable, and consistent.
- Enhance the speed, reliability, and trust in CI/CD systems across the frontend platform.
- Advance the microfrontend architecture, module design, and coding standards within a large-scale monorepo.
- Develop and support self-service tools and internal platform features for engineering teams.
- Integrate artificial intelligence across the web development lifecycle, including coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Establish, monitor, and improve key developer productivity indicators such as build duration, DORA metrics, and developer satisfaction scores.
- Detect recurring obstacles in developer workflows and implement scalable solutions to resolve them.
Work Arrangement
Remote (Country) — U.S.
Team
The Web Infrastructure team is part of the Engineering Platforms organization and maintains the core frontend foundation, including CI/CD pipelines, build systems, observability, feature management, microfrontend architecture, performance tuning, and engineering standards across a 2.8 million-line React monorepo. Every frontend engineer uses the team’s platform, making its design critical to engineering speed, deployment reliability, and developer experience. The team prioritizes developer productivity, measuring outcomes through build performance, deployment success, DORA metrics, and satisfaction. Currently based in Europe, the team is expanding with its first U.S. hire. This Principal-level role requires strategic initiative, autonomy, and leadership in shaping the frontend platform while collaborating across time zones.
