Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of research projects centered on child welfare systems
  • Develop evaluation frameworks for child welfare programs and interventions
  • Oversee data collection processes, ensuring methodological rigor and ethical standards
  • Conduct both quantitative and qualitative data analysis to assess program outcomes
  • Collaborate with government agencies and nonprofit organizations on research initiatives
  • Produce reports, briefs, and presentations summarizing research findings
  • Translate complex research results into accessible formats for non-academic audiences
  • Mentor junior researchers and contribute to team capacity building
  • Identify funding opportunities and contribute to proposal development
  • Manage multiple research projects simultaneously within established timelines
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations in research activities
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand practical challenges in child welfare
  • Support the development of performance measures for child welfare systems
  • Contribute to cross-project learning and knowledge sharing
  • Maintain up-to-date expertise in child welfare policy and research methods
  • Present findings at professional conferences and public forums
  • Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and other scholarly outlets
  • Integrate equity considerations into research design and interpretation
  • Work with diverse populations, including system-involved youth and families
