Responsibilities
- Define and execute the full lifecycle product strategy for fraud and risk across credit offerings, consumer payment systems, and homeowner-facing applications, balancing security with user experience.
- Lead the development and prioritization of the fraud detection and risk scoring product roadmap, working hand-in-hand with Engineering and Data Science teams to enhance models, rules engines, and real-time threat prevention.
- Collaborate with Security teams to reinforce identity verification and account security, designing product-integrated controls such as KYC/KYB, device intelligence, and behavioral analytics to combat synthetic identities, account takeovers, and money mule schemes.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce fraud-related disputes and chargebacks by improving upstream risk controls, refining decision logic, and minimizing abuse opportunities before they impact operations.
- Investigate patterns in fraud activity, assess model accuracy, track financial losses, and evaluate false positive rates to make informed, data-backed decisions that reduce risk without degrading customer experience.
- Oversee relationships with external vendors and assess emerging technologies, data signals, and platforms that can enhance the organization’s fraud prevention capabilities.
- Work closely with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure all fraud and risk systems comply with regulatory standards and are prepared for audits.
- Present clear, timely, and actionable insights on risk trends, threats, and mitigation efforts to senior leadership.
