Hiive is hiring a Principal Product Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated success in leading small, cross-functional engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-performing software releases on schedule.
  • Possesses strong hands-on development skills in one or more of TypeScript, React, or Elixir.
  • Takes full ownership of software architecture across their team’s domain, from design to implementation.
  • Promotes the integration of AI tools in engineering workflows to improve development speed and code quality.
  • Sets a high standard for code quality and precision, influencing peers to deliver robust and maintainable software.
  • Applies deep expertise in security, system performance, and operational best practices for production environments.
  • Assesses technical approaches and advises leadership on strategic technology decisions.
  • Performs thorough code reviews to ensure features are fully implemented and meet quality benchmarks.
  • Champions engineering best practices and continuously refines development processes to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Supports the recruitment and onboarding of new engineering talent as the team scales.
  • Dedicates time to coaching and developing team members to grow their technical and professional capabilities.
  • Thrives in a startup environment, working closely with founders to shape both product and company culture.
  • Adapts quickly to changing priorities and evolving technical challenges in a dynamic organization.
