Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate payment system architectures that scale efficiently and maintain resilience under high transaction loads and strict uptime demands
- Establish and oversee non-functional standards covering performance, reliability, system visibility, security, and recovery capabilities
- Develop strategies for APIs, system integrations, and event-based or distributed designs that ensure adaptability and adherence to regulatory standards
- Assist in defining PCI DSS scope and promoting security-first design principles in cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments
- Engage in architectural review boards, providing clear and authoritative representation in strategic discussions
- Support business development by shaping realistic, market-aligned future-state solutions during pre-sales and proposal phases
- Communicate architectural choices effectively to leadership, explaining trade-offs, risks, and financial impacts in accessible terms
