About the Role
This role involves leading flood risk modelling initiatives, developing advanced hydrological and hydraulic models, and providing technical expertise to support sustainable water management and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of flood risk assessment projects
- Develop and calibrate 1D and 2D hydraulic models
- Provide technical oversight on complex modelling assignments
- Support the development of flood resilience strategies
- Conduct hydrological analysis for urban and rural catchments
- Prepare technical reports and documentation
- Advise on flood forecasting and warning systems
- Collaborate with engineering and environmental teams
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Mentor junior modellers and technical staff
- Present findings to clients and stakeholders
- Contribute to project proposals and bids
- Integrate climate change projections into models
- Review model outputs for accuracy and reliability
- Support emergency planning and response efforts
