Responsibilities
- Deliver technical expertise in overhead line design across complex, multi-disciplinary initiatives.
- Engage in major infrastructure programmes, including large-scale transmission projects.
- Assist in developing project proposals with defined timelines, resource plans, budgets, and objectives.
- Offer technical guidance during project execution, statutory planning processes, and public engagement activities.
- Lead design tasks for overhead lines, including PLS-CADD modeling, detailed routing, structural analysis, loading assessments, design criteria development, sag-tension calculations, insulator and conductor blowout analysis, swing angle evaluation, damper system selection, structural placement, clearance reporting, and component specification.
- Support feasibility assessments, perform thermal rating analyses for conductors, and ensure adherence to applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct technical evaluations to determine optimal configurations and present recommended solutions to clients.
- Develop and review advanced engineering outputs, including designs, technical reports, proposals, presentations, and drawing sets.
- Carry out internal quality assurance reviews of engineering calculations and drawings.
