In this role, you will drive architectural decisions and implement efficient, secure software solutions on ARM and RISC-V platforms running Linux. Your work will directly impact the performance, reliability, and security of mission-critical communication technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop low-latency embedded firmware for ARM-based SoCs, including optimization of Linux networking stacks for wireless applications
  • Implement and maintain software components for MAC layer protocols and MANET routing algorithms
  • Develop network management tools and web-based interfaces for system configuration and monitoring
  • Integrate security protocols and encryption algorithms, ensuring compliance with standards such as NIST FIPS 140-3 and NIAP Common Criteria
  • Build audio streaming and push-to-talk voice communication features
  • Enhance system robustness through rigorous testing, including performance and reliability validation
  • Develop and maintain device drivers and board support packages for ARM and RISC-V systems
  • Customize Linux environments and write automation scripts to streamline deployment and operations
  • Collaborate on system-level improvements across the full software stack

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software development
  • Proven leadership in designing and building embedded Linux firmware for ARM processors, particularly in networking or wireless domains
  • Strong proficiency in C programming and Linux kernel driver development
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to government contract obligations
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is a condition of employment

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with CNSA suite cryptographic algorithms and secure implementation practices
  • Experience with socket programming and core Internet/Ethernet protocols
  • Understanding of MAC and network layer protocols in wireless communication systems
  • Hands-on work with AMD UltraScale+ MPSoC and Microchip Polarfire SoC board support packages
  • Knowledge of IPsec, data authentication, and encryption mechanisms
  • Experience developing Linux Interrupt Service Routines

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position based in West Los Angeles, CA, requiring a minimum of three on-site days per week—specifically Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The role operates within a mission-driven culture focused on delivering resilient, battle-tested communication systems. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team dedicated to advancing secure, real-time wireless networking solutions.
