Responsibilities
- Review and approve low voltage (LV) deliverables, including design reports, specifications, drawings, cable schedules, equipment submittals, and cause-and-effect matrices.
- Conduct quality control reviews at critical design stages, ensuring adherence to client requirements, relevant standards, and project-specific LV design guidelines.
- Act as a technical reviewer for high-risk or high-complexity LV designs within the project portfolio.
- Maintain and update internal LV design standards, master specifications, and best-practice guidance documents.
- Identify and manage technical risks on LV workstreams, escalating to the appropriate technical director as needed.
- Manage LV design deliverables across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely, in-scope, and high-quality outputs.
- Coordinate LV interfaces with other engineering disciplines through formal interdisciplinary reviews.
- Prepare and review LV scopes of work, specifications, and tender documentation; evaluate contractor and supplier technical submissions and shop drawings.
- Support construction-phase activities, including site visits, RFI responses, technical query resolution, and review of as-built documentation.
- Contribute to project risk registers, program reviews, and design change management processes for LV scopes.
- Lead LV modeling in Revit MEP or equivalent BIM authoring tools, ensuring spatial coordination of LV devices, containment, and infrastructure elements.
- Coordinate LV models within the Common Data Environment, participating in clash detection and resolution workflows.
- Ensure LV deliverables comply with the project BIM Execution Plan, including LOD/LOI requirements and data-drop schedules.
- Support the development of LV-specific parametric families, equipment schedules, and drawing automation workflows within the team’s digital toolset.
- Present LV design solutions and technical recommendations to clients, security consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction at design review meetings.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with LV specialist subcontractors, system integrators, and product manufacturers.
- Support business development by contributing to technical proposals, fee estimates, and capability presentations for LV-intensive opportunities.
- Mentor and coach junior and intermediate electrical engineers in LV design principles, standards compliance, and professional development.
- Lead knowledge-sharing sessions, internal CPD events, and lessons-learned reviews focused on LV systems.
- Contribute to the recruitment and onboarding of LV engineering staff.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience in low voltage (LV) systems design and project management.
- Proficiency in Revit MEP or equivalent BIM authoring tools.
- Strong knowledge of applicable standards and regulations for LV systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
