Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of large, technically intricate projects spanning multiple disciplines
- Act as a recognized expert in the field for clients and internal teams
- Ensure projects are delivered within financial targets and generate intended margins
- Keep project scope clearly defined and consistently aligned with objectives
- Conduct biweekly assessments of project progress and overall health
- Revise project plans proactively in response to changing conditions
- Initiate requests for additional services when project needs evolve
- Identify and escalate potential risks at the earliest opportunity
- Ensure ongoing consistency with project scope, timeline, and financial constraints
- Direct the technical strategy and approach for engineering deliverables
- Uphold high standards of design integrity and accuracy
- Ensure integrated, high-performance outcomes across all project phases
- Record client-specific procedures and project-specific requirements
- Coordinate with leadership across groups, teams, and disciplines
- Cultivate long-term, trust-based relationships with clients
- Serve as a senior-level technical consultant on complex initiatives
- Support business development through proposal contributions and client interviews
- Create technical content including white papers, blog posts, and conference talks
- Coach and develop junior designers and engineers
- Provide design review, direction, and meaningful performance feedback
- Help build the next generation of technical talent within the organization
- Promote and advance technical standards and excellence across the company
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with preference for Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 12 years in AEC or similar professional services with proven leadership in a technical discipline
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects
- Experience guiding technical teams, conducting QA/QC reviews, and mentoring staff
- Track record of delivering high-quality, well-coordinated engineering designs
- Ability to make effective decisions in complex or uncertain situations
- Solid grasp of project delivery methods, client expectations, documentation norms, coordination processes, and industry best practices
- Proven involvement in improving documentation, standards, QA/QC workflows, and systems via GitHub Pull Requests
- High competency in Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Revit), Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and GitHub
- RCDD (Telecom/ICT) certification required

- Work involves extended periods at a desk using computer, keyboard, phone, and mouse
- Regular reading, writing, and communication in both virtual and face-to-face settings
- Occasional travel to client locations for meetings, site surveys, or inspections
- Site visits may require prolonged standing, walking, stair climbing, and movement through construction or utility zones
- Fieldwork may include bending, kneeling, or working in tight spaces
- Occasional lifting or moving of equipment up to 25 pounds may be necessary
- Approximately 75% of work takes place remotely or in an office using standard equipment
- Roughly 25% occurs at client sites, including active construction zones and operational facilities
- Construction environments may expose individuals to high noise levels, dust, uneven surfaces, variable lighting, and active work zones
- Utility rooms and similar areas may have limited access and may not meet ADA standards
- All incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions must be reported immediately to site leadership and internal operations
