About the Role

The Project Manager, Corporate Compliance, oversees the planning, coordination, and implementation of compliance-related projects and strategic initiatives across the organization. This individual acts as a bridge between Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations, and other business units to ensure timely, in-scope delivery aligned with regulatory, accreditation, and internal requirements. Responsibilities include maintaining project governance, tracking milestones, managing risks and dependencies, facilitating stakeholder communication, and supporting continuous improvement to strengthen the compliance program. The role demands strong organizational, analytical, and relationship management abilities, with experience managing multiple projects in a regulated healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project lifecycle activities for compliance department initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Create and manage comprehensive project plans, including schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful rollout of compliance programs.
  • Track project progress and proactively detect risks, obstacles, and resource limitations.
  • Organize and lead project meetings, status reviews, and stakeholder updates.
  • Generate project reports, dashboards, and summaries for leadership and governance bodies.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate, structured, and maintained per department standards.
  • Support development and enhancement of compliance program components such as policies, training, risk management, hotline operations, investigations, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate enterprise-wide compliance efforts across Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, Marketplace, and other business lines.
  • Assist in deploying and optimizing compliance technology platforms, including NAVEX and other GRC systems.
  • Support enterprise risk assessments and initiatives measuring compliance program effectiveness.
  • Monitor project tasks to confirm compliance with applicable legal and contractual obligations.
  • Foster strong working relationships with internal departments and external partners.
  • Align Compliance with business units to ensure ownership and delivery of project outcomes.
  • Manage vendor onboarding, implementation timelines, and track contractual deliverables and action items.
  • Lead resolution of project issues and escalate risks or delays as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance compliance processes, workflows, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop standard operating procedures, project frameworks, templates, and reporting tools.
  • Support automation, workflow improvements, and technology upgrades to strengthen compliance operations.
  • Measure project results and KPIs to evaluate performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain project governance structures and associated documentation.
  • Produce meeting agendas, minutes, action logs, and status reports.
  • Deliver progress updates to Compliance Leadership, executive teams, and relevant committees.
  • Ensure all action items are assigned, tracked, and completed on schedule.
