About the Role
This role leads the development and execution of enterprise-wide technical architecture, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with product vision. The individual will collaborate across engineering, product, and design teams to influence technical direction and promote best practices.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain long-term technical architecture roadmaps
- Lead architectural reviews and approve critical system designs
- Collaborate with engineering leaders to align technology with business objectives
- Identify and integrate emerging technologies to improve system performance
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards
- Mentor senior engineers and technical leads on best practices
- Drive consistency across platform, product, and infrastructure layers
- Evaluate trade-offs between innovation, technical debt, and delivery timelines
- Champion scalability, reliability, and operational excellence
- Work closely with product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Establish patterns and standards for APIs, data flow, and integration
- Lead incident reviews for major system failures
- Promote reuse of components and services across teams
- Oversee migration from legacy systems to modern platforms
- Ensure architectural decisions support global operations and performance
- Advocate for observability, monitoring, and automated testing
- Represent engineering in executive planning sessions
- Foster collaboration between distributed technical teams
- Evaluate third-party vendors and external platforms for integration
- Support technical due diligence for potential acquisitions or partnerships
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a technical discipline
- Experience in print, design, or physical product technology platforms
- Prior work in high-growth startups or global enterprises
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Hands-on coding experience within the last five years
- Public speaking or conference presentation experience
- Open-source contributions or technical publications
