Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, run, and service various types of printing press machinery
- Complete all preparatory actions required for press operation, including mounting plates or fitting cylinders
- Inspect plates and cylinders for flaws and verify accurate image alignment
- Prepare press blankets, manage tension settings, and adjust registration as needed
- Apply color corrections and modify press settings before and during runs to meet quality standards
- Clean, oil, and service equipment regularly, performing minor fixes and replacing damaged or worn components
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks as specified by equipment manufacturers
