Responsibilities
- Operate and adjust high-speed sheeting machinery to accurately cut paperboard rolls into specified sheet sizes
- Continuously inspect output for dimensional accuracy, squareness, and surface imperfections such as dust, slitting flaws, or scuff marks
- Interpret job specifications from work orders to determine required sheet dimensions, paper weight, and grain orientation
- Execute efficient changeovers between jobs, ensuring correct machine configuration and minimal waste
- Conduct regular cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on critical components including knives, rollers, and drive belts
- Use forklifts or specialized clamping equipment to safely load large paperboard rolls onto machine unwind stands
