Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and implementation of business and marketing strategies for each practice group
- Conduct research on market conditions and analyze competitor activity within targeted regions
- Drive initiatives that establish the practice group as a leader in its field, including client advisories, insights publications, multi-state surveys, and live or recorded presentations
- Produce high-value marketing content such as summaries, brochures, and informational documents
- Ensure legal professionals maintain up-to-date, client-focused biographies
- Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance attorney and firm visibility, including speaking roles, publications, and industry involvement
- Oversee the scheduling and coordination of practice group meetings, including team-wide and individual sessions with leadership; develop agendas and improve participation
- Support the management of quality assurance efforts within the practice group
- Coordinate with recruitment staff to monitor open positions, communicate staffing requirements, collect interviewer feedback, and follow up with candidates
- Work with IT and knowledge resources teams to encourage use of artificial intelligence, emerging tools, and digital platforms
- Partner with professional development and practice leadership to create and promote relevant training opportunities
- Analyze reports from the practice group, interpret findings, and communicate insights to leadership and team members
- Maintain and enhance internal websites dedicated to the practice group
- Analyze patterns related to fee reductions or write-offs and suggest corrective actions
- Oversee and take part in onboarding procedures for new attorneys joining the practice group
- Participate in integration initiatives for newly hired or promoted partners
