Living to the Max is hiring a Policy Analyst - Melbourne

Responsibilities

  • Track and evaluate policy changes in key government areas such as employment, health, disability, veterans’ affairs, and aged care, and assess how they affect service delivery, clients, and operations.
  • Conduct thorough research using both qualitative and quantitative methods, including literature reviews, stakeholder consultation, and integration of internal and external data.
  • Produce well-crafted written materials including policy briefs, submissions, discussion documents, options analyses, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
  • Assist in designing programs and services by interpreting policy goals into practical implementation plans, risk assessments, and operational requirements.
  • Support evaluation initiatives by helping define performance outcomes, indicators, and summarizing results for leadership review.
  • Work closely with internal specialists, operational teams, and external partners to verify assumptions and strengthen evidence-based decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, version tracking, and recordkeeping to meet governance and audit standards.
