Responsibilities
- Enhance and expand security frameworks across technology platforms, particularly within Arc and Arc Data Excellence environments
- Leverage tools like GitHub Advanced Security to increase automation, visibility, and coverage throughout development workflows
- Enable secure software development by enforcing best practices in code management, pull requests, secrets handling, dependencies, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD pipelines
- Assist in establishing practical security guidelines for AI-assisted and autonomous coding, including usage policies and code review standards
- Strengthen security scanning protocols and enable continuous evaluation across cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, Entra ID, and associated infrastructure
- Participate in architectural and design reviews for new platform features and significant system changes
- Collaborate with IT and compliance teams on endpoint protection, identity management, regulatory adherence, and audit processes
- Contribute to the creation of security documentation, implementation guides, training resources, and performance metrics
Requirements
- Minimum of six years of professional experience in security engineering, application security, cloud security, platform security, or a closely related field
- Proven background in modern software development environments, including source control systems, CI/CD pipelines, dependency management, and cloud deployment strategies
- Hands-on experience with security scanning technologies, including code, dependency, secret, and infrastructure scanning tools
- Working understanding of security principles and configurations in AWS and Azure cloud environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities when working with both technical and non-technical teams
Nice to Have
- Experience using GitHub Advanced Security, CodeQL, or equivalent code analysis platforms
- Background in securing Databricks or other data platform ecosystems
- Familiarity with Entra ID, Azure security services, or AWS-native security tools
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST, SOC 2, or ISO 27001
- Experience supporting security audits, tracking remediation efforts, or maintaining security documentation
