Responsibilities
- Design, operate, and enhance Kubernetes-based infrastructure for containerized workloads across cloud platforms including AWS, EKS, and RKE2
- Create and manage infrastructure as code to ensure consistent, repeatable provisioning of platform resources
- Maintain and optimize CI/CD systems, including GitLab CI, runner configurations, and automated deployment pipelines
- Manage identity and access solutions using tools like Keycloak, handling user setup, role assignments, and issue resolution
- Implement and monitor logging, alerting, and observability systems to support platform reliability and incident response
- Handle certificate lifecycle management, including automation of public certificate renewals
- Support platform security through secure container practices, compliance with Iron Bank standards, and ATO documentation
- Work with development teams to resolve deployment failures, pipeline errors, and integration challenges
- Develop and update technical documentation, runbooks, architecture decision records, and operational guidelines
- Help shape long-term platform strategy by aligning technology initiatives with mission goals
- Participate in on-call support as a tier 2 responder for platform incidents
- Guide and train junior engineers through collaborative coding, reviews, and knowledge transfer sessions
